There's a slim, slim chance we can do this.
I've been speaking to our research and engineering teams, and they've got a makeshift plan for how we can monitor alien activity across the globe, despite our debilitated state. If we can satellites launched and birds posted over all of the Council nations, we might have a chance of fighting back against this invasion on our own terms. I've ordered the construction of a second satellite ASAP.
The Dream Team are performing well in the field. We've put feet on the ground twice more, first to investigate alien activity in Lille and then to prevent abductions in Sydney. I've ordered free use of explosives - the labcoats don't like it, as it doesn't leave much in the way of artifacts to research - but it seems to work: since that first mission in Germany, we've had no more casualties.
